Sustainable architecture in nature, using natural materials and nestled within ancient woodland
Our Woodland Camp proposal is coming to life with the completion of several timber-clad cabins, perfectly nestled within the trees. Designed to harmonise with the surrounding ancient woodland, these cabins are constructed using Structural Insulated Panels (SIPS), which offer excellent thermal performance while minimizing environmental impact.
The exteriors feature random-width vertical timber boarding, creating a natural, rustic aesthetic that blends seamlessly into the woodland setting. This thoughtful design approach not only enhances the visual appeal but also supports sustainability by using locally sourced timber and eco-friendly building techniques.
Inside, each cabin is designed to provide visitors with a comfortable and self-sufficient retreat. The accommodation includes well-planned bedrooms, ensuite bathrooms, kitchens, and living spaces, ideal for couples, families, or small groups seeking to unwind in nature.
Beyond the cabins themselves, Woodland Camp aims to foster a deep connection between guests and the environment. The layout preserves much of the natural landscape, and innovative construction methods, such as helical micro piles, avoid concrete foundations to reduce ecological disturbance.
With the cabins now completed, Woodland Camp moves closer to becoming a tranquil haven where architecture and nature coexist beautifully.
